Connected Car launches Auto/Tech industry Roundtable in Las Vegas

JOIN US IN LAS VEGAS FOR A NEW CROSSOVER EVENT FOR THE AUTOMOTIVE AND TECH SECTOR

Leading organisations debating the most important connected, electric and autonomous vehicle topics.

“Las Vegas will look like a turbocharged Detroit when it comes to vehicle technology at CES. Named one of USA Today’s 10 Best automotive shows, CES is at the centre of making cars safer and drivers more connected. Experience the latest in concept cars and connected vehicles.” – Consumer Technology Association

With 4,400 companies and 182,000+ attendees from 160+ countries, CES claims to be the world’s largest event for the consumer technology industry, and who are we to argue? Just like our own digital publishing business, CES’ roots are in technology. Now, CES sees that the technology and automotive companies are merging at a rapid rate and is presenting its Las Vegas event as a perfect location to showcase automotive technology. CES’ own marketing for the 2020 show in January says ‘Car tech is redefining the automobile and reshaping the auto industry, emphasizing mobility and, in the process, transforming not just a vehicle’s operations, but also its interactions with people and objects.’

Car companies such as BMW, Daimler, Toyota, Kia, Byton and many, many more now use CES as part of their event programme, as do Tier 1 suppliers such as Robert Bosch, Continental, NVIDIA and Harman. They join and sometimes partner with major tech companies such as Qualcomm, Intel, Samsung and Google.

Be in no doubt – CES is now a major event in the annual automotive calendar.

7 YEARS LAS VEGAS EVENT TRACK RECORD

Our publishing company  and sister publication Incisor.TV has staged technology-based video Roundtable events alongside CES in Las Vegas since 2012. This event continues to deliver big time PR value for ourselves and for all of our participants. Dozens of influential tech industry companies have participated in these events, including Ericsson, Jaguar Land Rover, ARM, the Bluetooth SIG, the Wi-Fi Alliance, IHS Markit (co-host for 5 years), Teledyne LeCroy, Nest Labs (a subsidiary of Alphabet/Google), Itron and many more.

Previously aimed at the IoT and smart device market, this event has now re-focused on precisely that part of the industry that Connected Car deals with on a day to day basis – connected, autonomous and electric vehicle technology.

The 2020 Connected Car Roundtable event will involve leading organisations from the car and tech industries and will be filmed and broadcast to Connected Car magazine’s subscriber list, which includes more than 5,500 global developers of automotive technology and will be promoted via our extensive social media networks. We are bringing together industry leaders and will film them discussing the most important issues affecting the smart, connected vehicle market – industry standards, ADAS, V2X, autonomy, electrification, infotainment, testing and certification, security of data, privacy, connectivity, cloud and EDGE computing, 5G and network infrastructure.

Once filmed, the movies from this event will be broadcast to our audience of industry watchers across the globe and featured in the post-CES issue of Connected Car.

EXTENDING THE REACH OF YOUR MARKETING INVESTMENT

But what’s the big deal and why do many of these organisations come back to our Roundtable events time and time again, and just why should your company take part? Well, that’s because the PR value is high. CES as an event last four 4 days and then its reach ends. Millions spent on CES marketing and PR come to an abrupt stop. In contrast, Connected Car’s digital content has an indefinite life beyond those 4 days in the Nevada desert. Many of our Roundtable movies have been viewed more than 20,000 times, and the numbers never stop growing. That’s why companies attend our Roundtable events year after year.

TIME MANAGEMENT

We have listened to our participants who have typically felt that time is at a premium while CES is open, and so our event takes place on Monday the 6th January, which is the day before CES opens. This means that nobody’s CES agenda will be disturbed.

WHO’S IN SO FAR?

This is everybody’s first question! We’ve literally just started marketing this event. As participants are confirmed we will add their details here.

VENUE:

Our Roundtable events take place in large meeting rooms at one of the major hotels in central Las Vegas. We are currently negotiating with various Las Vegas venues and as soon as this process is complete we will provide location details.
